Southeast Digital Innovation Hub (DIGIHUB) and Istanbul Okan University – Faculty of Engineering, Tuzla Campus have signed a Letter of Cooperation establishing a long-term partnership between Bulgaria and Türkiye in the fields of digitalisation, sustainability, and knowledge transfer.
The cooperation will focus on:
- Joint participation in EU projects (Horizon Europe, DIGITAL Europe, Erasmus+)
- Co-organising hackathons, training events, and conferences in Burgas and Istanbul
- Student mobility, internships, and joint master’s and PhD research
- Shared access to labs and expertise in AI, robotics, smart manufacturing, and cybersecurity
- Localisation and rollout of DIGIHUB’s AI-powered Digital Maturity Assistant in the Marmara region
This partnership lays the foundation for a strong academic-industry innovation ecosystem focused on SMEs, public sector transformation, and next-generation digital talent in Southeast Europe.
