DIGIHUB was honored to be part of the global event Smart City Expo World Congress 2024 in Barcelona, which brought together over 25,000 participants and hundreds of exhibitors from around the world, dedicated to building smarter and connected urban spaces. As part of the MetaCities Excellence Hub for Southeast Europe, we presented the vision and innovations of the METACITIES project.
The project was presented by Anna Naydenova from ICT Cluster and Stoyan Nikolov from Southeast Digital Innovation Hub, who presented the key activities and ambitious goals of METACITIES. The main topics were the use of Digital Twins and metaverse to create cities of the future – sustainable, safe and high-tech.
This participation gave us the opportunity to share how METACITIES supports the construction of digitally independent and sustainable urban environments in accordance with European standards for smart cities and cybersecurity. DIGIHUB and our partners are proud to be part of the efforts to create the future of the urban environment through innovation and technology.
