The Southeast Digital Innovation Hub is already a member of the Enterprise Europe Network.
The Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) is the European Commission’s main instrument for implementing its policies to support small and medium-sized businesses in Europe and aims to increase the competitiveness the small and medium-sized enterprises by providing integrated consulting services in the field of technology transfer, innovation and business.
EEN started in parallel in Sofia and Brussels in 2008, when it merged the previous European Innovation Centers (IRC Network) and Euro Info Centers (Euro Info Centers) and is currently represented in over 600 organizations in 66 countries.
The network EEN https://enterprise-europe-network.bg/za-een-bulgaria/ covers the whole of Bulgaria with offices in Burgas, Varna, Gabrovo, Blagoevgrad, Sofia, Ruse, Stara Zagora and Plovdiv. For the first time, the city of Burgas is a point of it.
The services offered by the Enterprise Europe Network are as follows:
- Assistance in building new international partnerships with excellent growth potential by providing direct access to the largest business co-operation database;
- Support for participation in international conferences, trade exhibition and bilateral business meetings in Europe and third countries;
- Organizing trainings and providing advices on: еuropean legislation and standards; еntering the international market; protection of intellectual property; opportunities for funding under european programs and alternative sources; technology transfer and other topics of interest to SMEs;
- Consultations and support for innovative SMEs on research and innovation funding programs, innovative management and successful commercialization of innovative products.
The Southeast Digital Innovation Hub / DigIhub / was established in 2020 by the Municipality of Burgas, Industrial and Logistics Park – Burgas AD, University “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov”, Burgas Free University, ICT Cluster-Burgas and DINT Foundation.
DigIhub’s mission is to support the digital transformation in the Southeast region, the effective technological development of enterprises, as well as to create opportunities for building and increasing the digital competence of business and the public sector and to create networks of partnerships.
As part of the Enterprise Europe Network, DigIhub will assist the Bulgarian business and research organizations to increase their competitiveness and access to European and global markets by providing integrated services for business cooperation and innovation. As part of the Network, DigIhub will actively work the Bulgarian businesses to find the right partners and to be able to produce and distribute its products through access to new markets. Companies will have the opportunity to find the technologies they need to stimulate innovation in their business, as well as to collaborate on research and development projects.
