DIGIHUB is pleased to share exciting news with our community: Ina Agafonova, a co-founder and dedicated member of the DIGIHUB Board, has been officially nominated by the Bulgarian government for membership in the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) for the 2025–2030 term.
The European Economic and Social Committee plays a pivotal role in the European Union, serving as a key bridge between civil society and EU institutions. It provides essential input from stakeholders such as environmental groups, businesses, labor unions, farmers, and consumers to help shape inclusive and effective EU policies.
Ina’s nomination is a well-deserved recognition of her longstanding contributions to sustainability, environmental leadership, and civic engagement. Throughout her career, she has led and supported numerous initiatives promoting biodiversity conservation, sustainable development, and active public participation—values that align closely with DIGIHUB’s mission to foster digital innovation and sustainability in Bulgaria and beyond.
If confirmed, her role within the EESC would help ensure that environmental and sustainability issues remain central to EU policy discussions.
