On March 12, 2024, in the heart of Burgas, the coworking space TRIA SPACE became the place where DIGIHUB together with the Municipality of Burgas and ICT Cluster Burgas gathered representatives of local businesses, innovators and experts to discuss current opportunities for financing and support of small and medium enterprises. The event, entitled “Current opportunities for financing SMEs in Burgas: Business development and green growth”, aimed to draw attention to sustainable development and innovation in the region.
Petko Georgiev, Chairman of the Board of the Southeast Digital Innovation Hub (DIGIHUB), opened the event with an emphasis on the importance of the European Business Support Network (EEN) and how it can help local businesses.
Ina Agafonova, DIGIHUB Board Member and EEN Sustainability Advisor, presented an exciting funding opportunity of up to €10,000 for energy efficiency for SMEs through the EEnergy project.
Innovations were in the spotlight with the presentation of Engineer Albert Simonyan from ThingsLog, who shared about their approach to remote monitoring and analysis of energy consumption. Ana Yancheva from OIC-Burgas presented the current opportunities for financing SMEs through the “Competitiveness and Innovations in Enterprises 2021-2027” Program.
At the culmination of the event, the results and opportunities offered by the ICT Greening Up project, funded by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism, for the implementation of green ICT solutions were discussed.
